So I was doing my usual internet surfing and stumbling on some photos and information about a movie titled Best Car Wash Movie Scenes and I was like, "Oh snap, what is this all about?"
First Impressions
Let me tell y'all, the first impression I got from the pictures of the movie, Best Car Wash Movie Scenes, was that it was going to be a real hoot! I mean, just look at that lineup of cars at the car wash with the fellas working hard to get those cars looking spiffy. And who doesn't love a good car wash scene in a movie, right?
What's the Movie About?
From what I gathered, the movie Car Wash is about a day in the life of a group of guys who work at a car wash in Los Angeles, California. And let me tell you, it's not just about washing and detailing cars, oh no. It's about all the wild and crazy shenanigans that happen along the way.
There's a whole cast of characters in the movie, from the fun-loving employees who work at the car wash, to the eccentric and colorful customers who bring their cars in for a wash. You've got the smooth-talking ladies' man, the shy guy who's always getting picked on, and even a stoned-out hippie who keeps trying to sell his wares to anyone who will listen.
The Reviews
Now, I don't know about y'all, but when I hear about a movie like this, my first thought is, "Is it any good?" So, I did some digging and found some reviews of the movie.
The New York Times called it a "raunchy 1970s comedy brimming with meta and mayhem." They said the movie "finds hilarity in the most mundane of tasks" and "celebrates the camaraderie of the workingman." Sounds pretty good to me!
TV Guide gave the movie a solid 3 and a half stars, saying that it's "one of those simple, shaggy dog stories that has plenty of good-natured fun." They also said that "the cast is terrific, particularly the leads, who bring plenty of heart to their roles."
Violence to Animals in Film
Now, there is one thing I did come across in my research that kind of bothered me. It seems that there is a scene in the movie where a live goldfish is thrown into a trash can. Now, I'm all for poking fun at silly things, but that just seems cruel and unnecessary. I know it was the 70s and all, but come on now.
Is It Worth a Watch?
So, after doing all this research and checking out the trailer and pictures, would I recommend watching Car Wash? Absolutely!
It seems like the perfect movie for a lazy Sunday afternoon with your friends or family, or even just for a good laugh by yourself. And who knows, maybe you'll even learn a thing or two about the car washing business!
